Alphabet Letters - a tutorial

as i have a few older children in care this year, i decided to really crack down on letter recognition. i needed a simple, cost effective idea so i googled the internet to see what was out there. i came across this idea ....

milk cap alphabet letters

you will need

* lots of milk caps (cleaned of course - have the parents help to collect these for you)

* some alphabet letters printed from your computer (must measure approx 3.5cm)

* double sided tape

* PVA glue

how to

* once you have printed your alphabet letters cut them out. i did a few of each letter.
* place a small strip of double sided tape onto your clean milk bottle lids and stick your letters to them
* brush some PVA glue over the top of the letters (i did about three coats) going over the edge a little. this will make them stick and the children won't be able to peel them off :)

* sit down with the children and enjoy making words with your letters. i am going to print out a template of the childrens name so they can match the letters themselves.

enjoy bec!
